RingCentral has broadened its collaboration platform through the acquisition of select assets from Hopin, an online audience engagement technology provider.
This acquisition includes Hopin’s flagship Events platform and Session product, signaling a strategic move by RingCentral to bring customers more dynamic, interactive video solutions through virtual events.

Virtual private networks (VPNs) have long been the go-to tool for businesses to connect remote employees to their networks securely. The recent surge in remote work has only amplified this, with 84 percent of organizations using VPNs predominantly for remote employee access.
Infoblox Inc. recently published a second threat report to provide updates on the remote access toolkit, or RAT, called “Decoy Dog,” which the company discovered in April. To establish command and control, Decoy Dog uses the Domain Name System. The company also suspects it’s a secret tool nation-states use in cyberattacks.
