This #ZKast was done at Spyglass Hill Golf Course in Pebble Beach, home of the Advocates for Professional Golf Association (APGA) Cisco Invitational Golf Tournament. I start the interview with Cedric Lockhart, VP of Sales for Meraki and head of the Cisco Community for Black Professionals at Cisco. He and I discuss the community, its purpose of it, and the role it plays in helping with diversity at Cisco. We also talk about Cisco's role in the APGA Tour, why Cisco chose to get involved.For those unfamiliar, the APGA is a golf tour to bring diversity to golf. Its mission statement is "We provide a trusted platform for aspiring golfers from underrepresented backgrounds to showcase their talents, gain invaluable experiences, and pursue their dreams." At the Juniper AI NOW Event, this #ZKast is with Bryan Ward, Lead Network Engineer with Dartmouth College. Dartmouth College recently modernized its #WiFi using the Mist product from Juniper Networks. Using Mist's advanced #AI capabilities, Ward and his team deployed over 2000 Access Points in under two days. The deployment was done in the summer of 2020 during COVID, which added to the complexity. Students were returning to campus, though, and would be taking classes over Zoom, which created urgency for upgrading the network.
