What the logo means:
The characters that make up the ZK Research Logo means “Strategy and Tactics” in Japanese. The logo ties Zeus Kerravala back to his Japanese roots (mother is 100% Japanese) and highlights areas of research strength for ZK Research. ZK Research specializes in being able to see the short term trends that require tactical shifts without losing sight of the long term strategic direction of his clients.
Christine Kerravala is an Analyst with a dedicated focus on the healthcare industry. Christine has deep expertise in healthcare having been a Registered Nurse since 2005 and currently holds licenses in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She specializes in the area of medical surgery, cardiac care, school nursing, home care and Alzheimer’s.
Her research focus will be to understand the intersection of digital technologies and the evolution of healthcare with a specific focus on the following areas:
- Improvements in patient care
- The rise of home healthcare
- Remote care and telemedicine
- The impact of IoT on the healthcare industry
- The role of analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
Prior to her position with ZK Research, Christine was a Registered Nurse at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, the State’s largest teaching hospital. She performed that role for nine years where she worked in multiple departments, including her last position in the demanding cardiac unit. Christine still works as a substitute nurse in the local Ashburnham – Westminster school district.
In her spare time, Christine is a mother of six children, an avid amateur photographer with a passion for capturing the moments that most people don’t see because they do not take the time to “stop and smell the roses.”
She currently resides in Westminster, MA with her husband Zeus, their six children, and three cats.

Zeus Kerravala is the founder and Principal Analyst with ZK Research. Kerravala provides a mix of tactical advice to help his clients in the current business climate and long term strategic advice. Kerravala provides research and advice to the following constituents: End user IT and network managers, vendors of IT hardware, software and services and the financial community looking to invest in the companies that he covers.
Kerravala does research through a mix of end user and channel interviews, surveys of IT buyers, investor interviews as well as briefings from the IT vendor community. This gives Kerravala a 360 degree view of the technologies he covers from buyers of technology, investors, resellers and manufacturers.
Kerravala uses the traditional on line and email distribution channel for the research but heavily augments opinion and insight through social media including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Blogs. Kerravala is also heavily quoted in business press and the technology press and is a regular speaker at events such as Interop and Enterprise Connect.
Prior to ZK Research, Zeus Kerravala spent 10 years as an analyst at Yankee Group. He joined Yankee Group in March of 2001 as a Director and left Yankee Group as a Senior Vice President and Distinguished Research Fellow, the firms most senior research analyst. Before Yankee Group, Kerravala had a number of technical roles including a senior technical position at Greenwich Technology Partners (GTP) where he worked with Johna Til Johnson, the founder of Nemertes Research. Prior to GTP, Kerravala had numerous internal IT positions including VP of IT and Deputy CIO of Ferris, Baker Watts and Senior Project Manager at Alex. Brown and Sons, Incorporated.
Kerravala holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
Kerravala currently resides in Westminster, Massachusetts, with his wife Christine and their six kids.

As a result of delivering successful results, Forcum has developed trusted advisor status with many of the largest businesses in New England and beyond. He has created a platform of engagement followers on all forms of Social Media, and hosts a weekly Podcast “Inside Avaya”.
Prior to joining Avaya, Forcum spent 6 years working for Avaya systems integrators in Boston. While his integrator career started in a post-sales role, increasingly his voice was helpful in pre-sales engagements. Blending an entrepreneurial background with technical competency, he rapidly became a trusted advisor to customers in the financial, manufacturing, and banking industries. Prior to his move into the integrator space, Forcum worked in Information Technology organizations. This 360 degree perspective empowers Forcum to understand each stakeholder’s objectives and deliver results for all.
When he’s not traveling, Forcum resides in Hull, Massachusetts with his wife, children and pets. In his spare time he enjoys time spent with family, playing with new technology, all things Disney, and Photography.
